The Valley Dance Studio, located in the heart of Coramba, has been serving the local community for over 10 years. The studio offers fun, inclusive kids’ dance classes for all ages and skill levels, designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and provide accessible dance education that empowers every performer to shine! Our Classes
We have a range of fun classes for all ages
Mini Movers
(Preschool Program, 3 - 5 years)
The Mini Movers program (formerly known as Tiny Tots) is designed for kids between 3 - 5 years and is total fun for your little one. It is jam packed with jazz, ballet, free movement and music! They are designed to appeal to all children and provide the foundation for development of creativity, movement and musicality. We also focus on developing their coordination by introducing basic dance steps and work on social skills most importantly while having fun!!
Groove & Combo Classes (6 - 12 Years)
Groove and combo classes are catered to all abilities and designed to be inclusive, fun and a chance for your child to learn their own style and individuality (while making friends along the way!) In these fun classes we will explore and learn all styles of dance; from Jazz, JFH, Hip hop, contemporary and lyrical. We also focus on the foundations of dance, including flexibility and strength that comes with being a dancer.
Musical Theatre (Ages 6+)
Singing, dancing and acting combined in one! This is a very safe space for children to work on singing technique, learn dance movements and fun sequences to musical theatre songs, and to act out scenes while exploring character development. Musical theatre classes are designed to build confidence in everyone and are action packed, energetic and exciting. Vocal warmups will also be included at the beginning of every lesson to ensure your child is using their voice safely throughout the class.
Technique / Performance Class (Ages 8 +)
This class on Thursday afternoon focuses on developing strong technical foundations through jazz and ballet, supporting correct alignment, strength, flexibility, and musicality. Students will also learn age-appropriate choreography to apply technique in a performance context. From Term 3, the program will expand to include tap dance, introducing rhythm, coordination, and sound awareness. This class provides a wonderful opportunity for students to take their love of dance further through extended training, with the potential to work towards local eisteddfods and competitions, based on readiness and interest. *For your child to attend, they must also be enrolled in at least the appropriate age groove/combo class
